Dr. Barry L. Kurzer, Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge Society Board Member, died on June 25, 2025
Dr Kurzer, retired Chesterfield dentist, was an avid conservationist, especially in the Sandbridge, Virginia area. He was a founding and current board member and past treasurer of the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge Society. Dr. Kurzer was the lead volunteer for the installation and maintenance of the pollinator and monarch gardens at the refuge. And he won a Volunteer of the Year Award.
