Dr. Barry L. Kurzer, retired Chesterfield dentist, was an avid conservationist. He was a founding and current board member and past treasurer of the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge Society. He was responsible for installation and maintenance of the pollinator and monarch gardens at the refuge. Dr. Kurzer volunteered endlessly for all aspects of the refuge.
Dr. Barry L. Kurzer won the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge Volunteer of the Year Award in 2023.
